Queer Sober Social Club

MORE

Alcohol has played a dominant role in the queer community and oftentimes being queer and sober can feel isolating and lonely. Building a queer community and inspiring authentic connection without the presence of alcohol is therefore so important.

How did Queer Sober ATX get started?

I want other queer and sober people who live in the area to know they are not alone. I want them to feel like they belong and have a community who understands and makes space for them. They are also so many fun, queer-friendly things to do in Austin that don’t involve alcohol.

How does Queer Sober ATX support the community?

We schedule meetups and plan events for queer and sober people to get together, connect, and build community.

What do you wish for Austin's LGBTQIA2+ community?

I wish that more space and thought is created for those who do not drink alcohol.
